Doing this reminded me: the great Andrew Sullivan, back when he ran the Daily Dish, would take breaks from writing about serious topics like politics and war to post “Mental Health Breaks”—usually funny videos or beautiful pictures. I can see now why he did it.

I love that David Bowie/Bing Crosby duet of Little Drummer Boy. I read a biography about David Bowie this year and the author described how that duet came about. I don’t remember the details, but I always look forward to hearing the song.
As I recall, Bowie agreed to do it because his mother was a fan of Bing Crosby. It’s kind of an odd pairing, but they sure sounded good together.
